Claire Matthews is a self taught, part-time artist, based in the beautiful settings of North Somerset and surrounding Mendip Hills, Claire works from a small studio at home.

 

Claire Matthews specialises in working with pastels but also offer a range of other mediums; Acrylics, Watercolour, Inks or Graphite. Please enquire for prices.

 

Claire Matthews is very passionate about painting animals, in particular dogs and horses, but as you will see from Claires portfolio, Claire will consider a range of subjects. 

 

 Inspired by other artists and supported by Claire's family and friends, she started taking commissions in late 2011, since then she has gained experience through each piece of work Claire Matthews has produced.

 

Claire's aim is to provide you with an affordable commissioned pet portrait to treasure forever. From which she will pride herself in capturing the character and soul of your pet through their eyes and portrayal. Claire Matthews also enjoys hearing as much as you can tell her about their personalities and cheeky behaviour.

In the future Claire Matthews would like to offer courses at home in her studio
